Communion

 Communion

Q:  Why do we celebrate communion?

A:   Because we were told to do so by our Lord.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Mark 14:22-26
By participating in The Lord’s Supper, we are doing three things – 1) We are remembering the significance of the Lord’s sacrifice for us.  2) We are examining ourselves to confess any sin that may be breaking our fellowship with God. 3) We are making proclamation of our salvation and dependence upon Christ’s redemptive work.

Q:  Should a person take communion prior to salvation?

A:   No, because communion is a remembrance and celebration of what Christ has done for us.
